Based in Dublin, I am a printmaker and member of Black Church Print Studio, where I honed my craft under the mentorship of Raymond Henshaw, David McGinn, and Louise Peat. This is where real discipline and mentorship turned it into a proper craft.

In September 2026, my work has been selected for two exhibitions. The first is 'Small but Mighty', a curated group show organised by the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE) at Bankside Gallery in London, running 17–27 September. The second is the Black Church Print Studio Biennale in Dublin, a landmark exhibition celebrating the work of printmakers from one of Ireland's most respected fine art print studios.

 

 

My work explores the duality of everyday life — the ordinary and the extraordinary, the natural and the man-made — through bold colour and a hand-pulled, layered printing process. Screen printing means building an image one layer of ink at a time, each layer pulled by hand through a stencil and pressed onto the page. A single piece can take several days from first layer to last — often seven or more layers, each one needing to dry and align before the next goes down. It's slow, physical, occasionally stubborn work, and no two pulls ever come out quite the same. Those small variations are part of the process, not a flaw.

 

Every piece is produced in a strictly limited edition, signed and numbered by hand. I invite viewers to see the familiar differently — to notice the balance between opposing elements and the complexity hiding within simplicity. I continually strive to adapt different techniques and styles into my work. I'm normally creating at Black Church Print Studio in Temple Bar, my home away from home, where I keep learning and finding new inspiration. Working predominantly in silk screen printing, I explore the world through contrasts — sharp and soft, fluid and solid, the seen and the unseen. I use natural and man-made materials to explore tension and an uneasy harmony in the world around us. My art is born from my own sense of life's constant duality.
